Gaming Laptops From $600 - 1000

When it comes to PC gaming, it can be difficult to buy a pre-built machine with all the specifications and hardware required to support running high-end games for under $1500. This is why gaming laptops exist. Not only are they manufactured and sold usually for under $1000, but most of them are capable of running high-end games with relative ease, not to mention the fact that they are easily portable monsters crammed into a small package that will leave you feeling like you got your money’s worth.

MSI GL62M 7RE-407

Despite not having a very catchy name, this laptop performs wonders regardless when it comes to playing the latest AAA games available on PC. While most other gaming laptops on the market ship with the NVIDIA GeForce GTA 1050, this laptop ships with the even more powerful GTX 1050 Ti, which offers higher frame rates and smoother performances overall. It comes standard with an Intel Core i5-7300HQ processor, which isn’t the best on the market, but the manufacturer aims to compensate for that by including the better GPU. MSI has included higher frequency RAM modules, 2400MHz RAM, which helps to increase the laptop’s overall performance in the long run. Another interesting feature MSI has included is the ability to increase the RAM all the way up to 32GB instead of other laptops on the market that top out at just 8GB. The laptop comes with a 256GB solid state drive, however, due to the size of games these days, one might need to upgrade that themselves.

Specs:

  • Intel Core i5-7300HQ 2.5GHz
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5
  • 8GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM

Acer Aspire VX5-591G-75RM

This affordable gaming laptop from Acer is a top of the line model in Acer’s series of gaming laptops, not to mention it beckons to buyers with its affordable price point. This laptop comes standard with two of the very best pieces of hardware a laptop can house: the Kaby Lake Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. The GPU offers 4GB of dedicated GDDR5 video memory, while the processors comes equipped with 16GB of DDR4 RAM to give gamers the best experience while on a portable device. The 15.6 inch display comes without a G-SYNC display option, however, the display still offers crisp details and rich colors that bring images to life. The battery life on this device is also leading the market at a comfy 6 hours or more of straight gaming. A large downside is that the solid state drive is only offered at 256GB, so that will fill up relatively fast for gamers who play many different games. This can be rectified by purchasing an additional SSD, as there is an empty slot for one, however the buyer will have to also purchase an upgrade kit from Acer to have it properly installed. Or they can replace the SSD with a larger 512Gb or 1TB model, but that is the more costly option.

Specs:

  • Intel Core i7-7700HQ
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5
  • 16GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM
