Microsoft October 2019 Surface Event

On October 2nd in New York, Microsoft announced their newest products in the Surface line: the Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7, Surface Pro X, Surface Neo, Surface Duo, and Surface Earbuds. The vision of these products are design with the idea of removing the line between tablet and laptop, and that vision has led to technology that is more flexible and better suited for your personal needs.

The 3rd generation Surface Laptop, available in 13.5” or 15” display, is designed for everyday use at twice the speed and with all-day battery power. Fixed with dual far-field Studio Mics and OmniSonic speakers, the Laptop 3 delivers excellent sound and audio for leisurely or professional use, as well as USB-A and USB-C ports. Fast charging capabilities will have your laptop charged up to 80% within an hour.

The 13.5” model, available for $999 and up, comes with 10th Generation Intel ® Core™ processor. The 15” model, with a new AMD Ryzen Surface Edition processor, is available for $1199 and up.

The Surface Pro 7 is the newest in the Pro line of 2-in-1 devices, sporting the 10th Generation Intel ® Core™ processor as well as both USB-A and USB-C ports. Holding true to the iconic Pro design and all-day battery life, the Surface Pro 7 is available for $749.

Designed to be the thinnest, lightest, and most powerful member of the Surface Pro line 2-in-1 devices, you will never miss out with the Surface Pro X. At 5.33mm and only 1.68 pounds, Pro X is always connected with an LTE cellular connection. Microsoft and Qualcomm co-developed the Microsoft SQ1 ARM processor specifically for the Pro X, making it the fastest Qualcomm processor for a PC. Also included with the Pro X is its signature keyboard that includes a storage and docking station for a Surface Pen Slim. Available for $999.

New to the Surface product family are Neo and Duo, two dual-screen devices still in development and said to be available in the holiday season of 2020. Running an expression of Windows 10, Windows 10X, which was specifically designed for these devices, the Neo and Duo are designed to give you all the benefits of multiple screens in one. Small enough to carry, but big on the inside, these devices are made for multitasking.

With the thinnest LCD in its class, Neo runs full productivity apps and comes with a removable keyboard. Two 9” screen can fold out on a 360-degree full-friction hinge to create the full-sized 13” display. This handy dual-screen device comes compatible with Surface Pen and a Bluetooth mouse.

The Duo is the first in the Surface line to fit into your pocket at just 5.6” paper-thin dual-screens that unfold to 8.3”.

Finally to top it all off, the Surface Earbuds. These little buds pack a punch with excellent OmniSonic sound and are comfortably designed to sit snugly in your ear instead of poking awkwardly into the ear canal. Thanks to their wireless charging case, you can get the first 8 hours of use with them and then charge them up to two more times, allowing for all-day enjoyment. Intuitive touch and voice controls allow you to access Spotify and other apps with the right commands, and the Surface Earbuds allow for screen-free integration with Office 365 suite, all for $249.
